Camino de SanVincente

The Two Parish Walk is a 16Km sponsored walk beginning at St.Winifride’s church in Lymm and finishing at St.Vincent’s church in Knutsford.
Also known as the Camino de SanVincente it will take place on Saturday 14th June 2025.
Fr. David Long is the parish priest for both parishes and the aim is to raise money for a new children’s classroom for a parish in Siem Reap, Cambodia which is linked with both of Fr. David’s parishes.
The Camino

The route goes through Lymm village centre out through Spud Wood to Broomedge, then across via Booth Bank (negotiating the M56 and A556) to Rostherne and then through Tatton Park to finish at St.Vincent’s around 3-4:00PM

Shorter ‘Just Join In’ Walks
For anyone from either parish who like to join in but not take on the whole 16Km walk there will be short 2Km circular walks available from St.Winifride’s in Lymm and from St.Vincent’s in Tatton Park.
Join us for Lunch

The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is at the half way point on the route and they have generously allowed us to use their picnic area for a lunch stop. CAFT will provide a light lunch of sandwiches with tea and coffee or cold drinks. The cost for this will be a minimum donation of £5.00 per head to CAFT. There will be a collection box on site. We will have our own marshal at CAFT to direct people to the picnic area.
If anyone not walking but would like to join us for lunch please let us know at events@knutsford.p17catenians.org.
Address is Reddy Lane, Booth Bank WA14 3RE
Please be aware that CAFT have their own event taking place on the same day so it is likely to be busy at the entrance.
Join the Walk

The walk is being organised by Knutsford Catenians but we welcome anyone from either of the two parishes and Warrington Catenians to join in and make it a fun day out. If you are interested in joining in simply contact Martin Relton or Stuart Jones at events@knutsford.p17catenians.org and we will get back to you.
Notes for Walkers
- The route is approximately 16.5Km and a combination of roads, way-marked paths and parkland. It is mostly flat with a total elevation of 133m and includes 4 stiles along the route.
- Depending on final numbers we will try and walk as one or two groups.
- Dogs are welcome. The route is mostly on lead though.
- Terrain is mostly good but there are one or two short sections that would be muddy following heavy rain. There is also one very short section that is partially overgrown and requires care.
- A light lunch will be provided at Children’s Adventure Farm Trust at half distance. We ask each walker to donate £5 to CAFT on the day for the lunch.
- From Knutsford, we will meet in St.Vincent’s car park at 9am and travel to Lymm. From Lymm we will meet at St.Winifride’s car park at 10am.
